Editorial Policy
Last updated October 22, 2026
JordanMedHub publishes health information for patients and families in Jordan. This policy explains how that content is planned, sourced, written, and kept accurate.
Our standards
- Accuracy first: every medical statement must be supported by a reliable source, and the sources are listed on the page.
- Plain language: we write for patients, explain medical terms, and say clearly when something needs a doctor.
- No individual advice: we describe general reference ranges, options, and warning signs — never personal doses or treatment decisions.
- Local relevance: where it matters, we cover how things work in Jordan, such as whether a medicine is registered with the Jordan Food and Drug Administration.
Sources we rely on
We base content on international and national health authorities (such as the WHO, the NHS, the US CDC and NIH, and MedlinePlus), medicine regulators (the JFDA, the US FDA, and the European Medicines Agency), Jordan's Ministry of Health, recognised professional medical societies, and peer-reviewed research. Links inside our articles are limited to a reviewed list of such organisations.
How content is written
Each page is planned around the questions people actually ask about the topic, then drafted, checked against its sources, and reviewed by the JordanMedHub Medical Editorial Team before publication. Drafts may be prepared with the help of writing and research tools; nothing is published until our editorial team has checked it against the cited sources.
Arabic, English, and French versions are written for each language rather than translated word for word. When a page is not yet available in a language, we say so on the page and show the English version instead.
Updates and corrections
We revise pages when guidance changes or when we find or are told about an error. Each article shows the date it was last updated. If you spot a mistake, report it through the Contact page under "Report a content error" and include the page link.
Directory information
Hospital, clinic, and laboratory details come from public sources such as the facility's own website. Listings can change faster than we can check them, so please confirm details with the facility before visiting. Doctors and facilities can ask us to correct or remove their listing.
